The EET extends and improves on community members’ natural ability to make old-fashioned neighborly exchanges with each other. The EET helps its members to connect with one another, to learn each other’s strengths, and to discover how they and other members might mutually help one another.

TimeBanking Keys

The system is based on Time Dollars, which members earn by performing services for another, and spend to receive services for themselves or a friend.

1 Hour = 1 Time Dollar   1 Hour = 1 Hour

Potential services range from haircuts to home repair to music lessons. A member can earn a Time Dollar for an hour of childcare, and spend it by getting a one-hour piano lesson for themselves or a friend. Take a look at our latest service Requests and Offers!

The Equal Exchange TimeBank is a member of an international TimeBanking system, one of many TimeBanks that can be found across the US and the world. In the United States, many TimeBanks, including the EET, are members of TimeBanks USA, an organization which gives member TimeBanks the tools to start and to facilitate their services.
